Daxton 7 months
I can't believe my baby is already 7 months- its has flown by but what a blessing it has been. Raising a baby is no easy task and I applaud all moms reading this post. However, there is no greater joy that comes from being a mom. I remember hearing that when I wasn't a mom but now that I joined the team of moms I understand in a completely different way.
In The Book of Mormon in the book of Alma, it recounts the story about how the pious people of that time were in a time of many wars, facing much evil and many killings.
Surprisingly, however, a verse points out, that there never was a happier time among the people.
I was surprised by this verse, but realized when we are at our wits end with our children or we are trying to keep evil out of our lives and our home till we are worn out. That through all this when we lay down at night there is a feeling of accomplishment, of satisfaction, of happiness BECAUSE of the good we are doing.
Do you ever feel that? I do.
I love being a mom, and yes there are those times of struggle and of trials, but there is joy that comes that can't come from anything else. And when I lay down at night I am thankful for the joy that comes from that little 7 month old.
Now for some fun things... here are some of things that he does at 7 months
- Crawls all over but mostly wants to stand and walk
- Sings- he does his scales every morning -he hits a high C and I mean higher than soprano C:)
- He does cool dance moves- (video to come)
- Says mama and dada (without knowing )
-Smiles, Smiles and smiles. He is the happiest baby.
Here are some pictures of our little babe
