Call me Mrs. Osmond

Yep. Thats right, Mrs. Osmond the new American Sign Language teacher... wait it gets better-  the new teacher at my old high school! it'll be like walking down memory lane everyday, but instead i'll be the ninny pinny teacher. You see,  I graduated in Deaf Studies and I just didn't know what it was i really wanted to do with it. So, when the opportunity came for this position i jumped on it. i had a lot of help from my mom and sister to convince the principle that he really did need ASL and that he really did need me.. ha.

The hubbs was so pleased and after trying to capture the moment after like the 10 millionth shot we got one good one- the last one- yes that is how awkward I am in front of the camera. So here's to ASL and to me worrying my brains out all summer.

Wow - congrats Shelby! That's great especially because that means you have control on setting the agenda of the class ( to be what it should be about, SIGN LANGUAGE!)

Congrats. If its the school i think it is and i dont want to say on here they really did need one. My daughter was on the drill team there (she knew your brother whos on mission) and she dropped the class as she hated it being done by video. My son on the other hand is at a different school and has a teacher. It makes a difference. So im glad they finally got a great teacher. You will do great.

Congrats Shelby! I know you'll be wonderful. My best friend is a Social Worker for the deaf and would always make me laugh by signing certain words when she would talk to me. I'd have to remind her I could hear her. And when she really wants to make a point, she fingers spells it. LOL! The school will be lucky to have you!! :)
