22 Weeks Pregnant

What 22 weeks of Pregnancy has brought:

Irony:

I've seemed to lose the ability to swallow pills which presents a problem; I gag, slurp, spew, cough, gag then swallow- as I try to down my prenatal vitamins. Pretty dramatic scene if you ask me.

Sleeping- need I say more.

Bathroom breaks didn't seem to occur this much nor this early with the first.

Coughing, sneezing or laughing too hard that always seems to always end with an "ohh... darn it"... {then refer to the above statement}

Leg cramps- 0 for 0 this time around- i'm still keeping my fingers crossed!

Cravings: who knew pregnant woman really craved things. with my first I thought it was all made up and it was just a great excuse for woman to get that" ice cream" they really wanted.. but little did I know it would happen to me.. and little did i suspect the Mister to come in and say- "caught you again"- with an empty bag of dark chocolate chips. {it wasn't all in one sitting, promise.}

Mood swings: my poor hubby who can't keep up- he's always trying to keep me strong as I'm always on the verge of tears.

Lovely:

The fact that I have a baby growing inside me.

The tender mercy of not being deathly sick this time around.

A toddler who keeps me distracted and brings so much joy to life.

And a supportive husband who has told me more than once- "jeeze you girls go through a lot. Thank you" yes. yes, we do and when those statements are made it makes it that much easier.

Beautifully put! Pregnancy is a major battle but the rewards in the end are well worth the fight!!!

Beautifully put! The pitfalls of pregnancy disappear when that precious baby is placed in your arms for the first time!

aww... you're doing great! And you look cute :) your irony list made me laugh. I craved chocolate so bad when I was pregnant. Looking back (65 extra lbs later) I wish I hadn't but those cravings were real!

Such cute pictures! That's weird about the pill-swallowing, lol! I just remember getting hemmorhoids with my second pregnancy, which I didn't have for the first one! Hang in there--you have a great husband.

Girl, you are so cute!!! And hats off to your hubby! Can he secretly tell all the men everywhere in the world that women want to hear that!?! :) :)

Also, I've been meaning to tell you thank you SOO much for the scarf!!!!! It is absolutely beautiful and it just made my day (twice actually....the day I won and the day I got it). So thank you!!! :) :)

I was much more aware as I carried my second child - it was interesting that his wake/sleep patterns remained the same for the first three months after he was born. Also, every now and then, I would get this strange sensation, like he was going to fall out! Once he was born, we say that several times a day he would stretch his legs straight and point his little toes - that's what he was doing in there! lol
