Birthday Surprise

It was makana's birthday, and me and her hubby set up a surprise luncheon. 
it worked out great till the late comers tried hiding their face and she got the hint. 
But we had fun and Happy birthday to the Mama Kana!
ps. not to burst your bubble too much when I announce my surprise soon... i'll let you know we're not expanding our family {as i've got a lot of questions regarding that}.  
but i'm still pretty excited...

Paradise Bakery was so yummy! A perfect location. If any of you have not tried it, you should. Although, take note they do not accept Discover card

How fun!!! When I was about 18 I had the opportunity to surprise my dad on HIS birthday. I live in Califoria and had flown home from his home Boise about 10 days prior to my dad's birthday celebration. My step mom and I convinced my mom to allow me to fly back up for a weekend.(not an easy task) It was SOOOOOOOOOOOo much fun! Daddy was in the kitchen surrounded by friends and asked for a cold drink to be handed to him. "Here you go Daddy" I said as I handed it to him. "Thanks Rob-Honey." (then his cup hit the floor as he realized his youngest child was standing behind him!) My dad NEVER forgot that moment. Ever. It was such a precious time. He and I were forever grateful to my step mom and my mom for allowing me to fly back up to join his birthday celebration.
