Just the two of us

I'm not going to lie, it's been pretty crazy around these parts this last week. And without lying through my teeth i have to say its been pretty hard. I never thought that being a widow, pregnant and moving could be so draining. But man, am I so grateful for this time.

After a good long talk with my MIL I really came to realize how much I am growing and stretching and that I'm learning to be patient, and courageous with every passing moment. Daxton has had the chicken pox among other issues, but I couldnt have loved him more through it. He was so sweet and yes, sick, but so good as far as a sick boy can be. this last week it has been so priceless just to be the two of us. I've noticed my patience has grown leaps and bounds as i see how much my little boy needs me. He's gone through so much change and I can only give him love through it all. It will be a glorious day to be with my sweetheart again, but until then we will love life and enjoy the last bit we have here...

So glad you are doing okay!! Have been worried about you after checking the blog everyday but knew you were busy and it appears that the Mom's have been taking good care of you. Daxton is looking so handsome these days - with Brandon gone he is the Lil' Man of the House! Sorry to hear that he has been sick - but then again better now than having two at once with Chicken pox (at least I think-remember I am a Dog Mom!) So glad to see your post and know that you are all in my prayers daily during this time of adjustment! Love you all!

Good for you. I LOVE your attitude. I am sure your husband is having the same issues with being apart from you and his sweet little boy....but with an attitude like yours.....I bet it makes the weight and worry on his shoulders a little lighter. Good for you both.

It sure takes me back to when I was expecting our second and my husband had to leave me behind with our oldest child while he found a new place and started the new job in a strange city. We followed him there just 6 weeks before the second was born and we have been here ever since. 24 years this Oct. 4 more kids {total of 6} later. ; )

Enjoy your time with your sweet little one. Hope he is feeling better now. Chicken pox sure is not fun.

You are so well balanced and full of joy! Thank you for continuing to be the wonderful woman of God that you were created to be. Growing, loving and laughing in the face of craziness is not always easy but it sounds like you are doing it with your normal sweet grace.

Even tho it is hard right now I bet these special memories that you are making with just you and Daxton will last a life time...just special moments for you and him. I bet Brandon is going crazy being away from you both but soon the sacrifices will all be worth it.

I hope you can do this with a positive attitude, my daughter didn't, she made it miserable on my son in law by complaining everyday and unfortunately they divorced. You can make this as fun as you want. I realize you won't have family to help with the boys, but you are in the greatest church ever and you will have family through your ward to help you out. Boston is a fascinating place and there is so much to see. You and Brandon should go somewhere every Saturday to check out something new so when your families come and visit you can show them around. My MIL did this when they went to Boston for work and when we went to visit she had all the scoop, she could have become a tour guide. Just enjoy the change:)
