Table Leafs for Shelves

Remember when I said that we finally got some shelving up in our home... 

Well we got up the shelves but it took me awhile to decorate them. haha

They still aren't finished- not sure if I am in love with the decor but its better than nothing.

So basically this is what we did for our shelves: 

We found an old, old table that was going to the dumpster. We saw the leafs and thought they looked really rustic and cool, so we ripped them off  and took them home. 

We decided to use them as shelves, and used hardware from Ikea to hold them up. 

I'm smitten by the cracked paint and rustic look.

By the way- for those of you who are new to our blog- read this post of what I TRY to post every Wednesday. 

Basically I try to use this blog as a motivator for getting projects done in my home.

And I hope that for you, it will be a motivator as well.
