Because She Does, Thursday

Lauren Elvidge emailed me with a beautiful tribute about a woman. When I read whom she had written about, my eyes watered- this was a girl I went to high school with. She wasn’t any kind of girl, in fact, she was one of my best friends.  She helped me through high school and took care of my girlish emotions- we laughed, we cried and played through those fun H.S. years. I remember loving the person she was and how she could bring a light to anyone’s eyes.

In fact, I’ll let you in on a secret- we couldn’t get enough of each other. SO to make it through the hours we didn’t see each other we would call each other up right before sleep and talk … who am I kidding we mostly just laugh- its what consisted of 90% of our telephone conversations, till we fell asleep. Then in the morning, we switched off being the alarm clock, calling at 6:00 to wake the other up. Pathetic? Nah I think not.
So with all that said I can only just echo and echo again what Lauren had to say about her…

Whitney Davidson. Do I really need to say more about why she deserves this post? She is by far the most positive and friendly person I have ever met. I was in nursing school with her and we immediately formed a great friendship. I wish I could say that it was because I am just as awesome as she is, but that would be lying. I am sure that ANYONE that has ever met Whitney feels like they are her best friend. That is just how she is. She never judges, listens to everything you have to say and makes you feel like even the simplest accomplishments are the greatest thing she has ever heard. I am so proud to call her my friend. She makes me a better person when I am with her, and every time we part our separate ways, my day is infinitely better for spending time with her. She is patient, enthusiastic, and has the most contagious laugh. I am truly blessed to have her in my life as someone to lean on!

We love you Whitney as do SO many people.

I second everything said. I loved when Whitney would come over to hang out and love when I saw her at Lexi's tennis games. Her smile and genuine interest in others is one in a million.
