Oh, DC we miss you

We found our last memory card!! And because we did we got all our video! Hooray! So here is a video we just put together of our fun time in DC. Oh how I could be on vacation for forever...DC kinda stole our hearts. 

And thanks to Jeff and Linnea for some of the great footage in the film!

Also, we updated our last post about DC with a few more photos that we found on our 'lost' memory card.

Memorial Day Weekend: part 2

Here is a continuation from our DC trip. I still can't find our last memory card so it looks like we won't have those pictures... :(

But let me just say, being in DC on Memorial Day was truly remarkable. I can't think of a better place to be, as we give tribute to the fallen soldiers. We were able to go and see all the monuments on that day and also go to the Arlington Gravesite. It was a bit overwhelming and very emotional as we walked in and you could see miles of white tomb stones. The day was very memorable as we got to reflect on all those who sacrifice so much. 

   

   

  

Also, while we were in DC we got to see some sweet friends! Man, oh man, do we miss them. They were so good to us and it was so fun be able to go see some sites with them.

On Sunday we went to the DC temple and it was so incredibly peaceful and beyond stunning. It was like a castle, and it defiantly moved its way up to my top favorite temples.

Memorial Day weekend: Part 1

Spontaneously Brandon and I came up with the idea of road-tripping our family to Washington DC for memorial day weekend. Its about a 7ish hour drive. So we booked hotels, packed our bags and we were off. 

We had such an enjoyable time, it was a vacation I didn't want to come home from. 

There is something about being together as a whole family and spending time together. Wether its looking at museums, wrestling kids, or lying down on the side of the sidewalk to take a break. 

This is just round one of pictures, because you know how hard it is not to take picture of every little thing that has meaning. 

Also, one of our memory cards is missing- so hopefully that will show up somewhere. Otherwise you will just be spared of more photos! lol
