Daxton Turns 5

I can't believe my oldest is 5. Its been taking awhile for that to truly sink in...5 is a big milestone and its a little crazy to think we've made it to that milestone. It was a big birthday for him as well, it was the first time he had opinion about what he wanted for his gifts and for a party. All he really wanted though was a piñata... he's so simple and sweet about his request that anytime he asks I love to indulge because he doesn't ask for things very often.
We had two different parties with families and he loved getting that special attention from Grandmas and Grandpas, aunts and uncles. Each being so sweet to him.
We decided to also through a friend party with just a few of his close friends that he chose. We just kept it low key, and had a super hero themed party. We ate, and then had a super training course where each child got to test their abilities of strength and if they passed they got a super cape. We had a rockwall challenge, hitting a building with a straw shooter, flying over building course (aka a Photo Booth :) ) stomp out the evil bombs from a villain ( we filled up water balloons for each of them to pop) and last their hitting strength and had to hit a piñata with Villains on the front.
I'll be honest it was a lot of work, Brandon and I were exhausted by the end of the night. But it was worth it to see Daxton talk about it, and have him feel so special. I love my little Daxton so much.
