Riding

Some of my favorite memories of our dating years together were the times we spent outdoors. Brandon was really into rock climbing, he would bring me along and I always gave it my best shot. He loved photography and I loved to walk along and learn. Drives up the canyon were always a favorite, he'd pick out his favorite artist to listen to (because heaven knows he always has a favorite) and he turn up the volume and sing along with it. I would listen, but mostly to the sound of his voice.  Now when we spend time together it seems that the same being outdoors and learning together has been rejuvenating for our marriage.




On our way up to go Horseback riding we found a large field of sunflowers. It was incredibly beautiful. And when you don't have kids you pull over and run through the flowers as if you are kids.




We were recommended Duke Brothers Horses in Heber to go Horseback riding with and if I could give them a 6 out 5 stars I would. I wish I could give them higher. The owner of the horses was friendly, informative, careful but yet gave us the real cowboy experience. It was unlike any other horseback riding experience I had ever gone on. He took us up the mountain but let our horses do the guiding and let us go wherever we wanted to go. At the end, he even gave us what I felt like a private riding lesson. Anyway, I couldn't recommend them enough!






There is something terribly romantic (you can roll your eyes) about being on a horse out in nature with someone you love so much. I kept getting butterflies watching Brandon ride and take control of his horse... the beautiful scenery and fresh mountain air sure did add to it all.



So grateful and I know I'm blessed to be able to spend 7 years with someone that makes me happy every single day. And I look forward to an eternity with him!
