I was working on this project for a little too long- or i just kept putting it off.
And I've had this embarrassingly large white wall thats been blank making the room seem off.
But i finally finished this
Book wreath
SO here is a tut if you like it to make it.
{i may get some naysayer bookworms on this one.. but keep reading}
What you'll need:
-Old going-to-trash book
-Coffee
-Cardboard (cereal box works)
-Glue
Instructions:
1. To create the old fashioned look paper follow this tutorial
2. Then roll the paper from corner to corner. Glue the paper in place. Then bend the bottom point back so it looks like this...
3. Cut out a circle in the cardboard. glue the bend part of the rolled papers to cardboard and make sure to stagger the papers so you don't get gaps.
4. Continues till you reach your desired fullness.

Love this! I'm totally gonna make one of these :)
I love that wreath. It looks perfect in your house.
Well Shelby I am NOT at all artistic, I cannot even draw in a straight line, so this is totally out of my comfort zone. But it does look lovely.
Thankyou for showing and sharing.
Absolutely Love this. Might have to try this(although I am not artistic at all).
Love the paper wreaths! I've made several! so fun! Visiting from DIY Design!
This is beautiful! It's one of the things on my "to do" list!
Thanks so much for linking to "20 Below Thursday"...I'd LOVE to feature this on Sunday...but I only feature projects that link back to my blog...if you change it let me know so I can feature you! :)
i think you may have inspired me to try this. I have been wanting to try something like this for a while. Just call me a big ole' copy cat!
THANKS so much for adding my button...I'll be featuring this on Sunday!! :) It's beautiful!
LOVE this. And I can't wait to make one for our new apartment! Thanks for the inspiration :)
I make these types of wreaths all the time but do them a bit different...you did a great job!! You can embellish them with all sorts of stuff...buttons, twigs, ribbon, you name it. If you can glue gun it, you can add it. I used to sell mine down at a store in Pleasant Grove called Karma. I just don't have any down there right now but you've inspired me to make some more!
