Because She Does, Thursday
Reflecting back on the beginning of my marriage I have immediate thoughts that return straight back to my sister-in-law Melisa.
I have to tell you, no one was as welcoming and warm as her when I first entered the family. All those jitters of going into a new family and being faced with a new life was dissolved because of the sweetness and friendship that was immediately given by sweet Melisa.
I've heard that going into another family is hard because of the fact that they just aren't your family. However, Melisa created a bond just like we had been sisters all along... we could laugh, joke, be crazy teenager girls, and be serious all in one stroke.
But Melisa isn't just like that to me, in fact she is that amazing to everyone. She has a knack for making people feel special. If she's met you once- she WILL remember your name and your entire family and their names as well. She looks for the positive in people, and is constantly looking for ways to get to know others, why they are important and she makes sure they KNOW they are important.
Melisa is always taking the higher road, if there ever is a misdeed done to her, she constantly is saying- "i'm just going to take the higher road".
AND she does.
AND she does.
Melisa is a go-getter, she sets her mind to something and gets it done. She has accomplished many things in her life, from working with T.V. sets (at a very young age), starting her own jewelry business, one of the head coordinator for Best Buddies, mother of two and many more things. She is an example of always doing her best, placing that best foot forward, and setting on imprint on peoples hearts.
I've been blessed to have a sister so amazing as Melisa. Love you girl!
On another note, due to the compilation of papers from school getting stacked on my desk, chairs and floor...I've made the executive decision to slow down "Because She Does" to once a month...

What a great tribute to your sister in law! Looking into her eyes is like looking into the heart of warmth and laughter.
And, as amazing as SHE is .... so are YOU.
It sounds like you are lucky to have each other in your lives
