Lazy Susan Spool
I finally have another project finished in my home! It feels so good to complete an idea that is always halfway done, right?!
When we first brought the spool home I wasn't too thrilled about it because it was large, bulky and a it had a baaaaddd paint job. I just didn't think we would have enough room for it. But my creative husband Brandon was determined to keep it stay so out on the balcony it stayed for little while. We sanded off all the royal blue paint that was stuck on top, and stained it with a rich dark color. Lastly, we touched up the middle part with white paint.
While thinking of what to do with it, I remembered we didn't have enough space in our kitchen cupboards for our extra food storage. After brainstorming with some ideas on how we incorporate it into the kitchen, I thought it would be a nice touch as a lazy susan. So we went to the hardware store bought a lazy susan bearing, one that would hold enough weight and placed it underneath.
Now it sits in the corner of our kitchen and we can use it to hold our extra food storage!
And one last reminder, today is the last day to enter to win a skirt from West-Fourth Street! Better hurry your little bums! :)
