To Grandmothers house we go..

Our last stop on our adventure to get home was Canada. I was stoked to go because I had never been and it was just fun to say that I've been to Canada. However, due to the fact that the weather was miserable and we were exhausted from our traveling through the night most of our sites of Cananda was seen through the hotel window.

We did venture out to explore the area, but we didn't last long. I mostly just wanted to find a Canadian flag to take a picture of, so that we had proof that we went. Good thing we found one on our last block home. :)

After we were in Canada for about a day we got to fly back to Utah (or Grandma's house) for Christmas! It has been so rewarding and so rejuvenating to visit with family and with old friends. So I am so grateful for this time to visit to renew and strengthen relationships. I am constantly amazed at the ability we all have to grow and learn from our circumstances. And being away from family has really taught me the importance of relationships. I have learned a great deal of what it takes to be a better daughter, sister, and a friend and I am grateful for my circumstances so that I can learn to grow.

I am so Sad you weren't able to see very much of Canada. Hope you come back in the summer months and take it all in. You will love it! It's gorgeous up here when the grass is green. ; )

I learned much the same thing when we lived in New York far from our homes. Family is so special! Since you're located in Boston, I highly recommend a trip straight north to Montreal. We went monthly to the temple there; she never disappoints with the cathedrals mingling with high rise buildings. And crepes! Then if you have time, Quebec City is like taking a trip to Europe.

Oh I am also sad you didn't get to see Canada. We have a very scenic Country . I noticed there was no snow in the Canadian pics ? Where I am we have a lot of snow and this past week we had temps of up to -55 ... Nice to see our Maple leaf in your Blog :)

I agree with what others have said, to bad you didn't get to spend a bit more time in Canada. Winter can be a harsh time to come. I guess you now have a sense of what grandpa O's life of travel is like. No time to tour around the city you are visiting.
