Scenes from the weekend

Thank you all for your kind and warm comments concerning Lexi and our family. Its been such a beautiful, spiritual journey as we have walked along this path that the Lord has drawn for us.

A hardship that I didn't expect to be apart of this whole experience with Lexi has hit me pretty hard. That is, being away from Lexi after we left her about 2 weeks ago to come back here to Boston. It has been a really painful experience for me everyday, and many times unbearable.
However after praying and using the strength of the Lord I have received an answer as to why we felt like we needed to leave Utah. And that gives me comfort.

It also helps to have modern technology where I can Skype or call her everyday... and two little ones that distract me during the day.

I am grateful for the hardships we go through. They help us learn and lean on the Lord.

------------

While we've been back in Boston it has been really cold (still waiting for Spring!) so this past weekend when it got up to 50 degrees we went into the city and just did some exploring as a family. The sun and the fresh air really was needed for each of us.

Shelby what brand is your red double stroller. My children are having babies within 2 months of each other and I will need a double stroller.

Won't it be nice when you all can go for an ice cream cone... Boston looks so historic. We don't have old buildings like that where I live .

I'd much rather have ice cream in colder weather. Ice cream in the summer always makes me thirsty.

So beautifully written! I am so glad your sister is doing better. What a true miracle of God! Thank you for sharing because it means even more people like me, a reader of your blog, can pray for her too.

Thank you for sharing this Shelby. You have all been such an inspiration to me during these last few weeks. Even though it can be so difficult to see, you just have to remember that Lexi is just building her testimony...and what a testimony it will be! She has already inspired so many! It is so obvious that God is no where NEAR through with her yet!! God Bless you and your amazing family. You are all still in my prayers. :)

I have learned that people care more then we know or think about.
My 14 year old son prays for and ask about Lexi every day!! He feels a great connection with her and feels her faith!!! We as a family also pray for Lexi and your family.
