Lavender Fields

Lavender Fields Utah
We have a bucket list for this summer and we've been trying to cross a bunch of them off. And to be honest when we lived in Boston our list was HUGE because there was SO much to do and see, then we got here to Utah, and I really didn't think we were going to have that big of a bucket list. I mean, I have lived here for most of my life and felt like there wasn't a lot to go and do.

But I was wrong. Boston changed me in that way that exploring isn't just going around in the town you live in but to explore cities around you, even hours away and even the states around you. We have really grown to love life to the fullest after we have adopted this sense of thinking. It really has made us appreciate the world, our family and be more grateful for what we have.

So with that being said, we've been making a bucket list, with the help of my SIL and we've been so excited to eventually crossed them off.

One place on our list was the Young Living Farms or the Lavender Farms found in Mona Utah. This farm, it stole our hearts.  The farm is very large with so much to do! And we were the only ones exploring around so it really was magical.

On the farm they had houses, and scenes back from the knight era. We had a lot of fun pretending we were in that era-  riding horses and be knights fighting each other.

This swan was in the paddle boat area, it was so not shy and came right up to us. The boys couldn't get enough of it. Lavender Fields Utah Lavender Fields Utah
They also had animals on their farm! I was totally blown away with the types of animals they had and how many! You can't go wrong with animals and kids. The boys didn't want to leave.

They had a camel! I was probably more excited to show Daxton what a camel was than he was seeing it. Its fun to show kids in real life the animal instead of in a picture book.

They also had all sorts of oils in their store. We didn't get any of the oils but it was cool to see how many they had and the different variety. Also, when we left they gave us a little sample cup of Lavender ice cream! It was a different taste but also tasted pretty good. Plus after being in the Lavender fields made the experience of eating Lavender ice cream all that much sweeter.

We had so much fun as a family and hope to go back soon.

You must be channeling my mom; she took us to see and do EVERYTHING in L.A. Your photos are magical. And, last by not least, I miss you guys!

Oh these photos! What a beautiful day. :) Love that you're intentionally falling in love with Utah again--and what a gift you're giving to your sweet little ones. :)

Loving your pics! They are always precious.
A friend of mine was in SLC recently. She is a Rep. for Young Living and was in town for a convention. While she was there she visited the Lavender Fields. She couldn't get over how pretty it was! She said that she just sat for a while and took in the beauty of it all!

Check out Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. We volunteered there and it is one of the most amazing animal rescue organizations in the world.
