{second attempt at an outfit post- mostly due to helping the Mister out with a photo shoot for his work}

Its September and I am in denial. This summer went by way to fast, like scary fast. At the beginning of the summer I had a huge list of to do's to accomplish for my family and me. And now that the summer has come and gone I feel like I was robbed. I think one reason why it went so fast because it rained an awfully lot here. Which mean our list had to be put off quite a bit. I love rain. but not that much rain.
So I felt like a good portion of our summer was spent indoors and maybe thats why I am in denial, claiming I am robbed of a summer. In the past I have always look forward to Fall, it seriously is such a wonderful season with the crisp air, the falling leaves, the smells and colors....ohhh its all so wonderful.
Buuttttt I having a hard time, this go around letting go of summer.

Are you ready for Fall? Maybe you can help me feel better about this upcoming season in the comments. What are you looking forward to?

I'm defenetly ready for autumn:) It's my favourite time & season of year. I love it all - crisp air, red & yellow trees, (not brown tho as I don't like brown in any form) dark evenings, the smell, firework night - so many wonderful things:)

I suffer from summer SAD & am so glad the summer is over. We had some really hot days & nights here in the UK & I hated every minute of it.

Can't wait to see some of your pix of autumn. I know New England is well know for it's lovely autumn.

i'm not really happy about it either. we had a very cool beginning of summer, so i could use another month or two of heat!! however, to make you feel better...think cute boots and scarves and big oversized sweaters!

Your outfit is so cute! I love the way you mixed your prints. :)

As for summer, it's funny, I usually hate it but this season was pretty amazing and it's a bit hard to let go of as well.

Fall is my fav. though. Just think, chunky scarves, pretty leaves, a light breeze and a pumkin spiced latte.......ahhhhh. Now, I'm excited! :D

I hope this fall brings more warmth and lots of happiness to you since you felt robbed of your summer. :(

Have a beautiful day!

We had a very chilly July and August, so I feel I was cheated out of my summer already. I'm not ready for fall because It really makes my allergies go crazy, but it could be worse. It could be winter.

Lets all pray for an Indian summer!! But for reals I have always disliked fall, which is so sad because it is pretty and there are so many good things about it.. Such as clothing! I'm excited to wear all of my boots again. I've missed them so much.

End of summer meant going back to school...but this year is different! I retired after teaching 33 years! Now I get to do all the things I've always wanted to do...and at my own time! Love Boston...fall in New England is on my "Bucket List!" Oh...best parts of fall? BYU Football and the start of the Utah Jazz Season! (Jealous that Kyle Korver went to Celtics!)

I'm not ready for fall. Not because my summer was particularly amazing or anything (not to say that I didn't have fun! It was certainly fun!) but because I can't get over how quickly time flies. I swear we just finished the holidays last year and here we are again...talking about arranging flights, meeting with people, gift lists, etc. It's surreal.

I LOVE your striped top and polka dot pants! Such an amazing combo! I feel like this summer went by fast too; spent alot of time indoors here in Vegas because it was way too hot outside. I'm definitely looking forward to wearing oversized sweaters, boots, and beanies!

Fun outfit! I wish I had your beautiful hair, even just for a day. :)

Rain is probably the one thing I miss least about living there out east. I didn't appreciate sunshine like I do now! But no worries. Your part of the country boasts thee best Fall colors around. And Halloween is one of my very favorite holidays. I can't wait!

You're not alone thinking this Summer went too fast! We had such a miserable June....and a rainy start to August.....July (and the heat wave!) was all we had for summer this year. I went through my closet yesterday and struggled with what to wear....60 degrees and not "feeling" like I'm ready for fall yet. You are so trendy and stylish. Great outfit for your fall kickoff!!

1.) Cute outfit!

2.) things to look forward to during the Fall: sweater & boots weather, the famous New England autumn images you get to see & experience, cinnamon scent is in the air, you get to use your crock-pot, holidays are (almost) around the corner.....

Need I go on? ;-)

love this look, great transition outfit!
hmm i'm definitely ready for fall.
since graduating from high school a few years ago i never got a summer vacation and always spent my time working full time and going to school full time so its made me like summer less. this summer was nice, we moved, but we still spent the majority of our time indoors working and commuting. so for cooler weather i am definitely ready for fall haha.
i guess summer is less fun when you are an adult and can't go on vacations to the beach.
